Two-Wheel Alignment Service
A two-wheel alignment, also known as a front wheel alignment, aligns the front wheels of the vehicle. With a properly aligned set of wheels, your vehicle will deliver improved handling, braking, and fuel efficiency. Our technicians will measure the angles of the wheels to determine if the wheels require an alignment service. A common sign of a misaligned suspension is that it makes the vehicle pull to one side. The tires of your vehicle might also show uneven tread wear with misaligned wheels. Regardless of any symptoms of misalignment, we recommend you have a regular inspection of the suspension, as we have specialized tools that can reliably check for misalignment.
Causes of Wheel Misalignmnet
The suspension of your vehicle might be misaligned due to a collision on the road, or hitting an obstacle such as curbs or potholes. For older vehicles, regular wear and tear can also cause the suspension to get misaligned.
Two-Wheel vs. Four-Wheel Alignment Service
A four-wheel alignment service is used to align all the four-wheel of the vehicle. This is the most common type of alignment service. A two-wheel alignment service is mostly required for vehicles that have a rigid rear axle, such as pickup trucks, which do not need alignment service for the rear wheels. The goal of the alignment service is to have all the wheels perpendicular to the ground and pointing forward. The pressure on the tires is evenly distributed with properly aligned tires. This helps prevent uneven tread wear.
